Doctorate in Organizational Theory and Leadership from University of Phoenix
Masters in Human Resource Management from Troy State
Bachelors in Business Administration from Columbus State

Prior to founding Burgos Consulting, Dr. Burgos was the Senior Diversity and Inclusion Officer for TSYS, a leading global provider of payments technology. Throughout her 25+ year career with TSYS, she served in various leadership positions. Dr. Burgos also taught as an adjunct professor at Columbus Technical College and served on its Business Advisory Board of Curriculum.

Dr. Burgos currently serves on the advisory boards of several organizations including Girls Inc. of Columbus/Phenix City Area, where she is also the CEO of Girls Inc of Columbus Georgia; WNET- Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions, where she leads the DEI task force; UNCF for the Columbus area; and Hope Habour for battered women. She is also a past executive board member for the Greater Columbus chapter of Partners in Education for the region’s school systems.

Passionate about increasing diversity in STEM education, Dr. Burgos devotes her time to helping build a pipeline of diverse talent for the technology industry. She served on the TSYS IT Education Council to foster the awareness of technology within the Chattahoochee Valley region of public schools.

  • Named “Diversity Leader of the Year 2020” by the Technology Association of Georgia: 30 years of embracing diversity and cultures from personal experience.
  • Received Diversity Certification from Yale University Executive Program, 2018.
  • Facilitated courageous conversations on racial equality and social justice with such notable celebrities as Roland Martin, Mellody Hobson, Eddie Glaude Jr., and Dr. Thema Bryant Davis.
  • Hosted a conversation with legendary diversity educator Jane Elliot.
  • Initiated an international program in India for the leadership advancement of women.
  • Developed an ongoing enterprise training: “Unconscious Bias to Conscious Inclusion.”
  • Developed and implemented a formal sponsorship program to support the professional development and career advancement of marginalized high-potential leaders.
  • Spoken and appeared on various panels, podcasts, and events including Money 2020, Leaders forum for Peach State Georgia, and Let’s Grow STEAM.
  • Created and implemented an organizational DEI strategic plan focused on increasing diverse representation and implementing an inclusive culture.
  • Developed and implemented a diverse Talent Management strategy.
  • Partnered with procurement to increase minority spending supporting supplier diversity.
  • Established partnerships with HBCUs in Southeastern USA focused on internships and establishing a diverse talent pipeline.
